Hi Peeps,Hope you all are doing great.This is my first ever review on TMA and I can’t hold my excitement. Well I will be reviewing Lakme 9 to 5 Primer + Matte Lip color in the shade ‘Rosy Sunday’.Another shade (Blush Book)from the same range has been already reviewed here on TMA.you can have a look on that as well.
Makeup is one thing which definitely unites us irrespective of who we are or where we are. A lil makeup definitely boosts up our confidence- be it a simple kohl pencil lining our eyes or a more intricate makeup routine. Isn’t it?
My obsession of makeup or rather lip colours dates back to the time when I was doing my B.E and my aunt gifted me a brown colour Revlon lipstick. I remember wearing it whenever I got a chance. Before I start travelling back the memory lane, let me begin my take on Lakme 9 to 5 Primer + Matte Lipcolor in the shade Rosy Sunday.

My Experience With Lakme 9 to 5 Primer + Matte Lip Color Rosy Sunday
Packaging
Packaging is more or less similar to older version with rose gold metallic body .Let me tell you, it looks no less than classy.I simply love the packaging.The cap shuts tight and is very much travel friendly.Name of the lipstick and shade is mentioned on the packaging with black letters.
However a downside of packaging is that it’s not color coded.Until unless you open the cap or see the shade name on the bottom you can not differentiate between two shade so if you have more than one shade in your vanity it becomes a struggle to pick the correct shade at once.
Texture and Pigmentation
Texture is very smooth while you are applying and is slightly creamy so it glides easily on lips However withing few minutes it sets into perfectly matte finish.It’s not at all heavy on my lips and I can quiet comfortably wear it.But if you have really dry and chapped lips you need to apply a lip balm before applying this lipstick to ensure that it’s not drying on your lips.
Pigmentation
This lipstick is highly pigmented and one needs to apply a single swipe and colour shows up perfectly on your pout however for even more vibrant look you can apply two layer and it will look almost perfect.But remember not to apply too much otherwise you may end up with cakey look.
Staying Power
The shade Rosy Sunday stays for a good 5-6 hours on the lips with light snacks in between however It can’t survive a full meal and fades from inner corner of mouth hence reapplication is required after the meal.So I will not say it a long wear lipstick but it’s okay for the price we are paying.
Shade
This shade ‘Rosy Sunday’ is a very beautiful dusty pink which looks very flattering on fair to medium skin tone.It has slight brown undertone to this and for me I can say that finally I have found my MLBB shade

- Shade is very flattering
- Travel Friendly
- Comfortable matte finish
- Perfect for daily wear
- Pigmentation is really good
- Feels very light on lips
- Does not crease
- Does not leaves a tint behind after removal
What I didn’t Like in Lakme 9 to 5 Primer + Matte Lip Color Rosy Sunday
- No colour coded packaging
- Fades from inside the mouth
- Doesn’t survive a heavy meal.
- not for extremely dry and chapped lips
Will I buy it again? -Yes, definitely

Final Take : Lakme never fails to surprise us and this time as well their Primer + Matte range is really great and as there are 30 shades to choose from. You can easily get your MLBB shade.So girls do give this a try if you are a matte lover and I am sure you will not be disappointed.
