When it comes to elle 18 we all have lots of memory attached with it.Be it our first lipstick in college or trying out various makeup that too without making a hole in the pocket.:P š .I tried 4 shadesfrom their matte range and loved each one of them.So stay with me to know how Elle 18 Color Pops Matte Lipstick Deep Pink P23 fared for me.

Packaging
Packaging of these lipstick are simple yet cute .It comes in a black plastic case with the name of the brand on the cover and photo of pretty Elle 18 girl which actually looks very girly š Shade name and self life is mentioned on the bottom side but there is no colour coded packaging so if you own many of these lipstick it is really difficult to find the shade you are looking for.It slips in my handbag easily and is travel friendly.
Shade & TextureĀ Ā
It comes in 20 shades altogether among which I picked up 4 shades .First Love,Coral dose,Prom Pink and Deep Pink.Today’s review is about the Shade “Deep Pink”.This shade is raspberry pink and will suit indian skin tones.Texture is more on the buttery side.Although it claims to be matte It is not really matte.It gives semi matte finish to your lips after some time of application.
PigmentationĀ
Pigmentation is really very good and one swipe is sufficient to build up the color But if you have really pigmented lips you may need 2 swipes to cover the pigmentation and get the opaque finish.
Staying Power : It stays on my lips for 3-4 powers.It transfers a little on cups or other things and doesn’t survive a meal .But It fades evenly leaving a nice tint behind which actually looks good.What more can I ask for in such price š

Overall PerformanceĀ
I have used this lipstick many times and I would say I am happy it.texture is smooth and easy to apply but not matte at all.It gives you a semi matte finish.what I do is ,I simply blot it with a tissue paper and It looks almost matte.So I am good to go.The good part is ,this lipstick is moisturing and you can skip lip balm sometimes but if you have really dry lips, its always better to apply a bit of lip balm 5 minutes before applying a lipstick .Then wipe off with a tissue and apply your lipstick.This way your lipstick with look smooth and you can easily carry in a winter day as well

Will I purchase again ? –Yes I would love to but I I love experimemting I will try some other brand next time.
Final Take : An inexpensive lipstick to try out if you have dry lips and you like semi matte finish .This shade suits all indian skin tones.
