BB creams originated on Korea and were designed to replace an array of skin care items for e.g. your moisturizer, serum, eye cream, sunscreen and your foundation. In India however most BB creams in the market are designed like tinted moisturizers, they moisture, provide spf and a slight bit of coverage to help you achieve the no makeup makeup look. Garnier BB Cream is no different!

My experience With Garnier BB Cream

I’ve used it for around 2 years now hence I can be giving an authentic review. Also it means it’s kind of an old product 😋

It’s an extremely light weight tinted moisturizer which I wear on top of my daily moisturizer. Hence you can say for dry skin or even combination it won’t completely replace your moisturizer. I don’t use spf because 24 is enough since I am not exposed to the sun for very long in the day.

On days that my skin behaves itself it ends up giving me a very flawless smooth finish with minimal coverage which is what I desire. I set it with my Lakme absolute perfect radiance compact (which has spf 23), line my waterline and my lids with kohl and slap on some tinted lip balm to be office ready

On days that I need more coverage I will either switch to the Maybelline all in one BB cream or use my Maybelline fit me concealer additionally

So here’s the sum up:-

Pros of Garnier BB Cream 🙂 🙂

• SPF 24 which is great for everyday use
• Moisturises and evens your skin out, gives you a slight bit of glow which is the icing on the cake
• Smells powdery, very mild and pleasant, nothing too overpowering
• Easy on the pocket

Cons of Garnier BB Cream 🙁 🙁

• If you’re looking for any coverage light or medium, this isn’t for you. Just smooths your base out.
• Comes in only a single shade
• Claims 8 hours of moisturization,but for me it lasts for only 5-6 hours, before it melts away on my dry skin

Rating  – 4/5

Will I purchase again ? – Yes, although the Maybelline clear glow all in one BB Cream is the best BB Cream available in India(personal opinion) it’s rather expensive. This one on the other hand is light on pocket and very appropriate for daily wear.
