That was the news of the day!!!

Now,lets start with the post.

Today,I will be sharing,How do I do my own facial at home.Although due to coronavirus, this is the only option that we have. But I always loved doing my facial at home.

Benefits of Doing Facial Regularly

  • Cleans skin deeply
  • Rejuvenates your skin
  • Relieves Stress
  • Helps Get Rid of Blackheads and whiteheads
  • Results in soft and supple skin
  • Delays the aging process

Let’s start with the process.

Step 1: Cleansing

I always start with removing my make up.Mostly,I take 2 drops of baby oil. Then I rub my face and neck with the oil to loosen the makeup.

After that,I Simply take my favorite face wash and wash my face thoroughly. tada,My face is all ready for the pampering. 😛

Step 2: Steaming

There is a lot of debate going on.Basically on,when is right time to use steam. However,I personally like to steam before scrubbing.

As steaming make my pores open,It loosens all the blackheads and whiteheads. If done before scrubbing, helps in getting rid of blackheads and whiteheads easily.

For better experience,I dip a green tea bag in hot water before taking steam. It has amazing skin benefits .

Step 3: Scrubbing/Exfoliation

I take small amount of my favorite scrub. Then,I rub my face and neck gently in circular motion for a minute or two.

I also put special attention to my nose and chin.As more blackheads and whiteheads are present in those areas.

Then,I rinse my face with water and wipe it with towel.

Step 4: Massage

I sometimes do skip this at this time. And massage my face with my regular moisturizer at the time of moisturizing(Step 7).

But When I have time I use Aloe Vera gel to massage my skin for few minutes. It increases blood circulation in facial area which results in bright and glowing complexion.

You can use your favorite cream/gel for massaging. You can also use a specialized massage cream as per your convenience :).Idea is to keep it as simple as possible.

Step 5: Mask

Most of the time I end up using a home made mask.

for ex-Besan(Chickpea floor)+ Curd+Turmeric

I mix all the ingredients together and then apply all over my face and neck.I let it dry for 15 minutes. Then I wash it with regular water.

Meanwhile,I listen to music.:)

Step 6: Apply Toner

Applying toner is necessary to close the open pores. Also it helps to get rid of any left over product residue.

I have used VLCC rose water toner, simple rose water or chilled green tea as a toner. You can choose your personal favorite.

Step 7 : Moisturize

This is the end of the facial process.I take my moisturizer and apply generously on my face and neck.

Finally,I love to adore my super clean and glowing skin in the mirror.:)

Final Thought:

Facial at home is a great way to pamper your skin.At the same time you need not splurge on expensive saloon treatment.
